Nilakkhya, an Official Nikon Creator is a published Landscape Photographer of India from Delhi and has been in the photography arena for the last 14 years. To talk of some of his accomplishments, he has been published on all major platforms of photography including some of the top photography magazines of India. Above all he has been leading Landscape and Astro Photography Workshops for 5 years now and holds a rich experience of over 50 workshops in teaching the concepts to the participants. Detailed Day-Wise Itinerary
Day 01
25th November, Wednesday — Arrival in Kochi to the Winding Hills of Munnar
11:30 AM: Pick up from Cochin International Airport (COK) and begin the scenic 3.5–4 hour drive to the Western Ghats. En route orientation on gear, setup, settings, and workshop expectations.
3:30–4:30 PM: Check in at Munnar (Chokkanad / Old Munnar).
4:30–7:30 PM: Evening golden-hour and sunset session on the Munnar–Kochi Highway, followed by light-trail photography on its winding bends after dark.
8:00 PM: Return, warm dinner, theory session, and wind down.
3:30–9:00 AM: Trek to Bose Peak for sunrise and mist, then trek down and photograph Kolukkumalai Peak before returning for breakfast.
11:00 AM to lunch: Guided editing session.
4:30–6:30 PM: Gap Road sunset and light trails, including waterfall and dam compositions.
8:00 PM: Hotel or resort, dinner, post-processing, and overnight stay.
Day 05
29th November, Sunday — Departure after Sunrise
5:30–8:00 AM: Sunrise photography at selected locations in Suryanelli.
9:00 AM: Breakfast and checkout.
4:00 PM: Drop at Cochin International Airport.

01Fitness & Precautions for Landscape, Waterfall & Coastal Photography
Locations including Gap Road and Top Station reach elevations of roughly 5,000–6,500+ ft.
Moderate fitness is recommended for uneven plantation paths, slippery rocks, short walks including the Bose Peak trek, and stepping in and out of local boats where applicable.
Carry suitable leech protection for wet forest and plantation areas.
Some routes pass through elephant corridors; participants must follow the local guide and workshop leader at all times.
Weather is dynamic. The tour leader may change the sequence, timing, or access to any location for safety and the best available conditions.
02Workshop Nature, Logistics & Flexibility
This is an intensive landscape photography workshop rather than a leisure tour, with sunrise, mist, golden-hour, blue-hour, and night sessions.
Midday rest periods are built in where possible, while some field days begin as early as 3:30 AM.
Accommodation is in twin-sharing hotels and resorts.
Local meals and packed bites are arranged for pre-dawn starts where required.
Mist, drizzle, and rain are possible; rain covers, silica gel, and waterproof jackets are strongly recommended.
03Tour Rules and Operational Etiquette
Roadside stops are coordinated by the tour leader and driver for safety.
Respect other photographers' angles and space on narrow plantation trails.
Follow leave-no-trace principles and never disturb plants, wildlife, or local property.
Every participant is responsible for handling and securing personal equipment.
Reviews are constructive and intended to support learning at every experience level.
Respectful conduct toward communities, guides, hotel staff, and fellow participants is mandatory.
04Group Size
The workshop is designed for 6–8 participants. A minimum of 6 participants is required; if the minimum is not met, revised costing or rescheduling options may be offered.
05Emergency Mid-Trip Departure
No refund is available for voluntary or emergency departure during the workshop. Any private transfer to Cochin must be arranged and paid for by the participant.
06Recommended Photography Equipment
DSLR or mirrorless camera with manual exposure controls.
Suggested lenses: 14–24mm or 16–35mm, 24–70mm, and 70–200mm or 100–400mm.
A sturdy tripod, 10-stop and 6-stop ND filters, and a circular polarizer.
Remote release or intervalometer, L-bracket, cleaning kit, extra batteries, and sufficient memory cards.
07Non-Photographer Companions
Non-photographer companions are welcome if they are comfortable with the early starts, long field sessions, and photography-focused pace. The package fee remains the same.
08Age Eligibility
The workshop is open to participants aged 15 years and above who can comfortably manage the field schedule and moderate walks.
09Image Rights and Usage
By participating, you grant thEscape permission to feature behind-the-scenes material and select participant showcase images, always with credit, on official platforms and promotional features.
10Room Sharing Allocation
Rooms are arranged on a same-sex twin-sharing basis unless participants are travelling together as a couple, family, or friends and request an alternate arrangement in advance.
11Mobile Connectivity & Power
Jio, Airtel, and Vi generally operate around Munnar, while BSNL can be useful in parts of the high ranges. Connectivity may be intermittent.
Hotels provide regular power; carry a compact extension board or multi-plug for charging multiple devices.
12Tour Mentorship & Leadership
Photography mentorship is led by Nilakkhya Dutta and Ravin Chandra, supported by experienced local drivers and the tour coordination team.
13Code of Conduct & Prohibitions
Possession or use of illegal or narcotic substances results in immediate termination without refund.
Misbehaviour, harassment, damage, or abuse toward participants, staff, or local communities can result in removal from the workshop without refund.
Alcohol is prohibited during field sessions and must never affect safety or group conduct.
Respect for local communities, property, and fellow travellers is mandatory.
14Additional Terms & Travel Documents
Pickup is from Cochin International Airport on Day 1 and drop is at the same airport on Day 5.
Every participant must carry a valid government-issued photo identity document.
A standard indemnity and medical self-declaration form must be completed before the workshop begins.

Payment Terms & Booking Procedure
Total Tour Cost: ₹47,000/- per person, exclusive of 5% GST.
Booking Amount: Rs. 10,000 + 5% GST (Rs. 500) = Rs. 10,500 at the time of confirmation.
Final Balance Payment: ₹37,000 + 5% GST (Rs. 1,850) = Rs. 38,850, due 45 days before departure, on or before 10th October 2026.
Invoicing & Digital Payments: Invoices are issued for every payment. Razorpay and credit-card payments attract a 2% transaction fee plus applicable 18% GST on that fee.
Payment Options: Razorpay supports cards, UPI, netbanking, wallets, and EMI. Direct bank-transfer details are available on request with a booking acknowledgement.
45+ Days Prior (up to 10th October 2026): 50% refund of the advance booking amount.
30–45 Days Prior (10th–25th October 2026): The advance is non-refundable.
Less than 30 Days Prior (after 25th October 2026) / No Final Payment: 100% non-refundable.
Cancellation by Organizer: For unforeseen restrictions or fewer than 6 participants, the tour fee paid will be refunded in full. Travellers should book flexible tickets; independent transit costs are not reimbursed.
Seat Transfer: A seat may be transferred to a replacement participant with prior notice.
Payment is completed on Razorpay. The payment option is released only while this tour remains active.
